Visiting Maipú

You will visit the area of Maipú to enjoy wonderful wines in its wineries and a landscape of olive and fruit groves that characterize one of the most vigorous zones of Mendoza.

You will visit Trivento Winery first. This small winery’s name translate as “three winds” referring to the three wind currents in the sunny and arid lands of Mendoza.

After the above wine tasting, move to Lunlunta. This is a small isolated village where the family run Domaine St. Diego de Angel Mendoza produces well known Malbecs which you will have the chance to taste.

Proceed to Famlia Zuccardi Winery to learn about less traditional vines. You will enjoy here your lunch along with their wines.

Finish your tour at the Aceitera Pasrai, an olive oil producer that completes a tour of beautiful scenery and tradition.

Olive Groves, tastes and wineries of Maipú

You will arrive at Maipú through routes of olive groves, aromas and tastes of this wine zone to visit and taste the products of three wineries.

Visit first the small Trivento Winery before continuing to the century old Trivento Winery to learn about its history and taste its wines.

The day ends with a tasty lunch at El Enemigo Winery. This lunch is paired up with wines by Alejandro Vigil, the Catena Zapata winery’s winemaker.

During the return trip you stop at the olive oil produceer Pasrai to enjoy their products.

Maipú Spirits, Wines and Olives

From your hotel go to Tapaus to learn how distilled grape spirits are produced before tasting some of their products.

From here, go to Los Toneles Winery. With its typical architecture from the 1920’s, this winery is considered historical patrimony, including the Barrell Room, inspired in the history of the winery.

After a walk through their century old olive groves end your tour with a three meal course lunch paired up with wines from Los Toneles at Abrasado Restaurant before finalising this tour returning to your hotel.

Wine legacy in Maipú

During this tour you will visit traditional craft wineries in Maipú that contrast with industrial winery production. The tour will allow you to appreciate the landscape of vineyards and olive groves in this beautiful region which still maintains the tradition of its European descendents.

Firstly visit the traditional family winery Benegas which with is in a historical landmark of the old Mendoza. Then visit the Winery and Museum La Rural to visit its wine museum which holds one of the best collections in the country. Taste its wines before heading back to your hotel.
